7 Billion Needles by Nobuaki Tadano
This series revolves around a girl named Hikaru who is antisocial. She hides away from contact from people via her head phones. That however changes when she get involved with being called Horizon who obliterated and rebuilt her body upon meeting other. This however has a side effect of forcing her into his business which was a cat a mouse game between his opposite Maelstrom. This will require her to grow as a person since finding Maelstrom requires her to interact with people.
Now I love this series for the fact that its has such beautiful character development. You develop an attachment to Hikaru has she becomes a better person and gets past loneliness that was eating away at her and reconnecting with those around her. She eventually pays forward all the help she has received from her nonhuman compatriots by helping other people and saving the earth.
