Anime Weekend Atlanta

Back from a longer than usual weekend at AWA. This year’s show was a little different from most in some regards. While we had a great time at the booth, and as usual we launched a few new titles there, we were in some ways a little more low-key than we have been in previous years.
Instead of holding two or three panels on Manly Manga, Alt Manga or Josei along with our regular Vertical industry panel, we only focused on the company and briefly covered the licensing process.
It was great to meet with a number of your all. From my perspective it appears as if Vertical’s brand recognition is growing a bit down in the South. Good meals were had. Fun drinks consumed. Overall fun times in the ATL.
Cannot wait to return in 2015!

New Series

So one reason why we didn’t announce new titles at AWA was because we are kinda in the middle of a number of long-ish series. Another reason is due to the fact that we are just about to launch a few more medium to longish titles in the next few weeks/months.

New Licenses
Timing is everything. And as soon as I returned from Atlanta I was informed that we acquired the rights to three new titles. I hope to have at least two of them announced at NYCC.
(One note…These were not taken from the last license survey. We haven’t made offers from that data set yet. Actually we haven’t organized all that data yet. Those offers won’t go out until this winter.)
