Another pair of Vertical JP covers have been released this week…
Fumi Yoshinaga’s What Did You Yesterday? vol 9. (On sale in Japan next week)Yoshikazu Yasuhiko’s Mobile Suit Gundam: The ORIGIN part XII (last volume; on sale now)

WHY WHY WHY WHY Can’t Sunrise let Vertical use the Japanese covers for Origin???

Cause they did not have files for the first 8 volumes. They never expected anyone to want to license the hardcovers so the art was never kept on file. These are limited editions in Japan, rarely reprinted, so they tossed the art. When we asked for them… They just gave us a photocopy of the cover and said “this is what you can work with or build new ones”. We made new ones.
