This question might be five years late, but can you explain what happened to/if you have access to any of Del Rey Manga's, er, manga? Wikipedia says that Kodansha would take over publishing the manga, but some manga such as Yozakura Quartet and Code: Breaker where never continued in addition to a handful of light novels like Zaregoto and the Faust Anthologies. Does Kodansha have the license and there's nothing anyone can do if they decide to not continue publication of the series of what?
Hmmm… The best people to ask would be Kodansha Comics (they have a tumblr/twitter too!). But let me try to answer what I know…
Kodansha Comics USA has stated that they would pick up some of the works Del Rey dropped when they stopped publishing manga. Well, Kodansha did. However, from the beginning they never stated they would release all those titles.
Can another publisher acquire the remaining titles? Definitely. However, publishers have to evaluate whether those titles might be worth picking up.
I was hoping that the JManga project would have helped with some of those manga, but that didn’t work out. And CR doesn’t seem to be picking up the slack on that.
